Saying that Micronesia is a dream dive destination is the ultimate understatement.  For sure most of us here in the midwest debate which of the Caribbean dive destinations is the best.  But those of us who have had the opportunity to dive the Pacific know that nothing in the Caribbean can compare.  And, this trip features the best of Micronesia!

It is almost impossible to get a group week on the Truk Odyssey, Kosrae is often described as “Fiji and Tahiti before the outside world arrived.”  And, it is just hard to describe Palau, I know you will be as speachless with Palau’s beauty as I was on my first trip there.

Truk Lagoon: On Feb of 1944 the US Navy found the Japanese at harbor at Truk Lagoon.  What resulted is known as Operation Hailstone.

Itinerary: After a flight that takes us through Honolulu & Guam we arrive at Palau  for a 7-1/2-night stay at the Palau Royal Resort for 7 days of 3 tank diving.  Check out the Palau Royal Resort by clicking here

After our stay on Palau we depart for Truk Lagoon and board the Turk Odyssey on Sunday night May 27, 2012 .  This beautiful 132 ft long live-a-board will be our home for 7-nights & 8 days. During the week we will cruise the lagoon making 4 to 5 dives daily.  For More Information About the Odyssey click here.

Note that this is a private charter for Skin n Scuba divers only. There is only space for 16 divers aboard. 12 spots are already sold.

We then depart Truk Lagoon on Monday June 4 and head home or take the optional trip over to the unique island of Kosrae for a 4 or 5 night stay at the beautiful & unique Kosrae Nautilus Resort  for 3 or 4 days of diving some of the most spectacular reefs on the planet. Kosrae is known for splendid untouched reefs and spectacular scenery.

PRICING: 

Palau & Truk w/ RT air from Kansas City (per person / double occupancy):  $7,999.00 *. Includes 7.5 nights at the Palau Royal Resort w/2 per garden view room; 17 boat dives over 6-days & unlimited shore diving @ Sam’s Macro Wall;  unlimited free nitrox; Jelly Fish Lake Snorkeling trip; Lunch on boat dive days (other meals not included); Free Sams water bottle; Transfers to and from airport & Hotel Taxes. Also includes 7 nights accommodation aboard the Odyssey, 6 days of diving up to 5 dives per day, free Nitrox, Tanks and weights, All meals, snacks, beverages including beer and wine (except dinner on Saturday night) $30 Truk Diving permit fee paid in cash at the time of sailing is not included. This itinerary requires a long layover in Guam on the trip over to Truk (May 26th). Add $90 for a day room at a local hotel if desired, includes transfers to and from the airport.

Palau Only w/ RT air from Kansas City (per person / double occupancy): $4,499.00*. Includes 9 nights at the Palau Royal Resort w/2 per garden view room; 21 boat dives over 6-days & unlimited shore diving @ Sam’s Macro Wall;  unlimited free nitrox; Jelly Fish Lake Snorkeling trip; Lunch on boat dive days (other meals not included); Free Sams water bottle; Transfers to and from airport & Hotel Taxes.

Truk Lagoon Only w/ RT air from Kansas City (per person / double occupancy): $5,799.00*. Includes 7 nights accommodation aboard the Odyssey, 6 days of diving up to 5 dives per day, free Nitrox, Tanks and weights, All meals, snacks, beverages including beer and wine (except dinner on Saturday night).  Note: this option requires a one night layover in Guam on the inbound, some stay all night at the airport and others want a room.   $30 Truk Diving permit fee paid in cash at the time of sailing is not included. This itinerary requires an overnight layover in Guam on the outbound (May 26th). For a 1 night stay at the Royal Orchid Hotel in Guam w/2 per room in a partial ocean view room, full breakfast, round trip transfers to/from airport & hotel taxes add $90.00 per person.

Kosrae Option $1,799 (per person / double occupancy. Includes Additional air cost to Kosrae; 1 night at Blue Lagoon Resort on Truk; 4 nights @ Kosrae Nautilus Resort in a deluxe air conditioned room w/ full breakfast daily. Wireless internet service available.  Also included is 3 days of 2 tank boat diving; Transfers to and from airport & Hotel tax. Note that this option is not available for Palau only travelers.  Extra dives available at additional cost.

Note: Some Itineraries will have long layovers of as much as a day or so. Hotel stays will be offered at extra cost for those who would prefer waiting in a hotel rather than an airport.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

A non-refundable $1500 payment required for all bookings after Aug 20, 2011 | Additional deposit of $1,500 required Nov 20, 2011 |  Trip must be totally paid for by Jan 20, 2012.  Note that additional $500 deposit required for EACH of the other islands of Palau & Kosrae.     * Price could adjust a little up to reflect air fare in effect at time of ticketing.
